1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following information:

Account and Business Information:

  • name
  • business or store name
  • username
  • email address if provided
  • phone number if provided
  • role or account type such as admin or cashier
  • business address if provided

POS and Operational Data:

  • products, prices, inventory records, and stock movements
  • sales transactions, receipts, open bills, and reports
  • payment method labels and customer records if saved by the user

Device and Technical Data:

  • device name, device ID, operating system, and app version
  • connection status, sync logs, and error logs

Support and Communication Data:

  • support messages, screenshots, troubleshooting files, feedback, and inquiry details

2. How We Use Information

  • provide and operate Freecom POS
  • allow login and user management
  • process sales, inventory, receipts, and reports
  • sync data between POS devices and backend services when enabled
  • provide customer support and troubleshoot bugs
  • improve app performance, reliability, account security, and device security
  • comply with legal and business obligations

3. Offline and Local Data

Freecom POS may store data locally on your device so the POS can continue working even without internet connection.

  • synced backend users for offline login if enabled

Users are responsible for protecting their devices, performing backups, and managing access to their POS accounts.

4. Backend / SaaS Sync

If backend or SaaS sync is enabled, selected POS data may be transmitted to Freecom POS backend services for account sync, device monitoring, sales monitoring, user management, reporting, support, and diagnostics. If backend sync is not enabled, the POS may operate in standalone/offline mode.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information only when necessary:

  • with authorized service providers that help operate the system
  • with support staff when troubleshooting
  • when required by law or lawful request
  • to protect rights, security, and prevent fraud
  • with the customer's authorized admin/users within the same store or account

6. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. No system is 100% secure.

  • backup data regularly
  • secure devices and use trusted networks when syncing data

7. Data Retention

We keep data only as long as necessary for system operation, customer support, legal or business requirements, backup and recovery, and dispute or issue resolution. Local data stored on a user's device remains under the control of the user or store admin.

Depending on applicable law, users may have rights to:

  • access their personal information
  • correct inaccurate information
  • request deletion where applicable
  • object to or restrict certain processing
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • request information about how data is used

Freecom POS is intended for business use and is not designed for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
